# Buy competitions

> Prize contests for people who buy your token in the group’s pool.

A **buy competition** is a timed contest in your group. People buy the token. At the end, winners get a prize in the chain’s coin (SOL, ETH, or BNB).

Anyone in the group can join by buying. Only **group admins** can create the contest.

## Two modes

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Top buyers">
    Winners are the wallets with the **highest qualifying spend** when prizes are paid.

    Rank can still change until payout. Admins can drop a wallet with `/disq`.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Random">
    Each \*\*$1** of qualifying spend = **1 ticket**. Buys under $1 get **no tickets**.

    Winners are **drawn at the end**. Live rank is not the final winner list. More tickets = a better chance, not a guaranteed win.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## What members see

When the prize is in and the contest starts, the group gets a message with:

* Mode (top buyers or random)
* Prize total and number of winners
* Minimum buy
* Whether winners must still hold the token
* Chart / buy / Telegram links
* `/leaders` for the board

The leaderboard is **not final** until prizes are paid. Wallets can be added or dropped at the end.

## Prize rules (short)

* A **new prize wallet** is created for this contest only
* Send the prize from a wallet **you control**
* After it goes live, the contest **cannot be stopped**
* Leftover prize is sent **back to the address you paid from**
* Rewards go to the **wallet that made the buy**, if they still pass the rules
